It seemed for a brief while that Spring was on the way - the snowdrops are all well on display in the woods next to the garden and things that had survived the winter like the spinach are starting to green up
However as you can see from the colour of the ground - Winter was defintely back with a vengeance yesterday as it was a couple of weeks ago - in fact it was snowmaggadon here yesterday morning!
Steve has been busy doing indoor jobs though - the polytunnels are clear and ready to go for the Spring and summer crops - the strawberry plants have survived well so we might get some early fruits and our olive tree inside has almost doubled in size since last year - Yorkshire olives would be quite a crop!
Also the green manure crop we planted last year is ready to be cut and ploghed into the land - as our land is registered as stock free growing - green manures are a vital part of fertility for us
Lets hope real Spring is here soon!
