Things are dying down here in the garden a bit now Autumn is here - I have been out in the garden this afternoon trying to capture some images in the late afternoon sun - the beauty of the garden through the seasons certainly makes it a pleasure to work and live here!
The front field seems to be surprisingly still full of vegetables ( and weeds and grass growing!) due to the prolonged warmth of summer into early Autumn - there is still plenty of fresh beetroot and a whole quarter full of cabbage and kale
Other things are finishing now though - we have picked the last of the pumpkins and squash and finally the last of the tomatoes!
I don't think I have ever sold tomatoes at a market in November before! The polytunnels are empty now and I am just using the greenhouse to ripen the last of the tomatoes and dry the chillies
Now its just time to gather in stores of potatoes, carrots , parsnips and swede from Newfields Organics and get ready for the mad rush to Christmas!
