About Us

Signs of Spring!

Welcome to Bluebell Organics. The March garden is waking up with snowdrops carpeting the woods, busy early veg plants pushing up eagerly in the greenhouse and daffodill buds appearing throughout the garden.

Orders made on our website shop between Saturday 6th March and Friday 12th March will be delivered the following week between Wednesday 17th and Friday 19th March .

We will follow up all new orders with a regular order offer, as this will ensure you have a regular supply of organic vegetables and fruit.

If you understandably don't want to commit to a regular weekly or fortnightly order please continue to order via the website; we just need you to be aware that over the last year there have been times when we have had to close the webshop for a period when demand was very high. Fortunately things seem to be evening out now.

It is always possible to email or call us with queries - we try to deal with all enquiries as quickly as we can. As we are often out and about in the garden or delivering please be patient - we will get back to you asap, and if you are able to email that is easiest for us to deal with.

Many thanks to all our regular customers for your support and encouragement - we really appreciate your positive feedback.

Farmers markets update

The following Farmers' Markets are still operating - we are so grateful to the organisers for all the hard work they have put in to make this happen. It is an even bigger responsiblity at the moment, so please support the market by maintaining social distancing, one customer at a time at the stalls, and (we are sorry to have to say) keep social gathering until restrictions have eased. The market should be a place to meet friends as well as shop, and we hope it soon will be again! But in the meantime markets are under scrutiny and we want and need them to keep going as much as you do!

Barnard Castle - first Saturday of the month

Hexham - second and fourth Saturdays

Orton is normally on the second Saturday but currently not able to run - keep an eye on their social media for updates.

We have a wide range of quality organic seasonal produce and we'd be very pleased to see you there!

Thank you to customers for your continuing support and for your appreciation - it is lovely to receive feedback like this;

'a big thanks to you all for providing us with lovely nutritious and delicious produce over this dull winter, it really is much appreciated'

However we also do welcome your feedback on anything you are not happy with - sometimes, (with potatoes for example) a whole batch can be unsatisfactory but look fine on the outside, so we don't know if you don't tell us! We will always do our best to put things right and make sure we are delivering lovely fresh, wonky veg for you each week.

Just a reminder that we have raised our prices for the first time since 2017 - if you are a regular customer you will have received your info about this - if not please do get in touch!

WE are confident our prices represent really good value for money and compare well - thank you for supporting our small local business - please spread the word so we can keep delivering fresh organic produce to your doors!
