About Us

We are a small family company based in North Yorkshire. We are in the old walled garden of Forcett Hall Estate near Richmond. We grow and sell organic fruit and vegetables and deliver in North Yorkshire and the Durham Dales. (Please check below in DELIVERIES for specific areas)

We also sell at Farmers' Markets in Barnard Castle, Hexham, and Orton (Cumbria) .

At the moment we are also open at various times through the week through the garden gate, accessed from the Pop-Up Campsite in the Hall grounds. See below for more details.

We believe in sustainable growing and trading, and all of our vegetables and fruit are sourced as locally as possible, with the majority either grown here in the market garden or within Yorkshire.

We use minimal packaging and reuse and recycle wherever possible. Our veg is packed in paper bags, re-used boxes or biodegrable carriers.

Please explore our range of VEG BOXES AND BAGS, also our delicious ORGANIC APPLE JUICE, pressed by hand from the apples in our beautiful ancient orchard.

You can order online via our webshop. Orders made between Tuesday 3rd and Monday 9th August will be delivered on Thursday 12th or Friday 13th August.

If you would like to have a regular order to your door why not sign up for a weekly or fortnightly delivery? It is easy to do, and you can relax knowing that your fresh organic veg will be packed and brought to you.

We will follow up all new orders with a regular order offer; it also helps us to have a clear idea of customer numbers coming up, . However you are welcome to continue ordering on the website as and when if you prefer.

It is always possible to email or call us with queries - we try to deal with all enquiries as quickly as we can. As we are often out and about in the garden or delivering please be patient - we will get back to you asap, and if you are able to email that is easiest for us to deal with.

Many thanks to all our regular customers for your support and encouragement - we really appreciate your positive feedback.

Please check on here or on facebook for Bluebell garden opening times each week, as we have to fit in around deliveries and markets to make sure there is someone here. During the opening hours we are happy to receive visitors who want to drop by, in which case access is up the lane to the top and through the green gate.

THIS WEEK (27/07) Open Tues - Friday 10 - 2. NOT OPEN SATURDAY

On October 2nd and 3rd we are very excited to be taking part in Bishop Auckland Food Festival for the first time.

Our Farmers' Markets are all back up and running - and many have continued throughout most of the last year, despite difficulties -  we are so grateful to the organisers for all the hard work they have put in to make this happen. It is an even bigger responsiblity at the moment, so please support the market by maintaining social distancing, one customer at a time at the stalls, and keep group gathering to a minimum until restrictions have eased.

Barnard Castle - first Saturday of the month

Hexham - second and fourth Saturdays

Orton in the Eden Valley is on the second Saturday of the month.

We have a wide range of quality organic seasonal produce and we'd be very pleased to see you there!

Thank you to customers for your continuing support and for your appreciation - it is lovely to receive feedback like this;

'a big thanks to you all for providing us with lovely nutritious and delicious produce over this dull winter, it really is much appreciated'

However we also do welcome your feedback on anything you are not happy with - sometimes, (with potatoes for example) a whole batch can be unsatisfactory but look fine on the outside, so we don't know if you don't tell us! We will always do our best to put things right and make sure we are delivering lovely fresh, wonky veg for you each week.

WE are confident our prices represent really good value for money and compare well - thank you for supporting our small local business - please spread the word so we can keep delivering fresh organic produce to your doors!
